         Jay is by no means a stranger to the world of R&B. This self-contained song writer/producer’s list of accomplishments includes appearances and performances at Fox News, Verizon Center, DC Convention Center, Blues Alley, The Birchmere, Rams Head as well as many local clubs, private events, concerts and showcases.
Although Jay has many accomplishments as a solo artist, he has partnered with many successful performers, producers and companies
within the industry such as: Tank, Raheem Devaughn, Ashford & Simpson, Debra Cox, Dwele, Jon B, Kindred “The Family” Soul, Eric Roberson, platinum selling producers Roy Hamilton and Glen Mosley, BET, E-Entertainment Television, Fox NFL Sports, UPN 20, Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures and the list goes on. Love Counseling the title of his debut CD reflects Jay Hayden through piano, acoustic guitar and other instruments. It captures the essence of soulful R&B with a deep romantic twist inspired by Tank, Brian McKnight, Donnie Hathaway and Baby-Face. His compassionate understanding of the struggles, joys and pains we all experience in love, relationships and heartbreak pulsates through every note and illuminates why he refers to his music as Love Counseling.
        His first single “No Where” which hit Billboard’s top 100′s has been featured on the nationally syndicated Michael Baisden Show and is currently playing on Washington, DC’s own 96.3 WHUR-FM along with various stations around the world.
